Many years ago, my high school teachers at Norfolk Christian High School convinced me that Christian education is the ultimate means of providing a “whole child” approach to education that fully integrates the home, school and church. When I was an undergraduate at the College of William and Mary, I began to apply the principles of leadership and Christian character that were clearly communicated to me in my formative years by my Christian parents, teachers and church leaders. At college graduation, it all made sense to me.
There is incredible value in a school whose primary educational purpose is to develop in students the spiritual-mindedness and discernment to become all God wants them to become – building transformed lives rather than just simply transcripts. The incredible value that I describe here is truly found at Williamsburg Christian Academy. Christian education is a worthy investment in the future! I encourage you to search us out. We look forward to meeting you!

I am Gwen Martin and I have invested most of my career as an educator at Williamsburg Christian Academy. For my family, WCA has been a place of life-enriching partnerships which have continually bridged the age groups from Pre-K through grade twelve. WCA purposely promotes an environment where intimacy and closeness can happen on a daily basis – a world built for divine relationships between people because of the love of Jesus Christ which is the true agent of heart change and transformed lives.
Many WCA students tell us that they love their school because it feels like a strong family. At our school, the educational program encompasses finding out the story that God is writing for each student to live out fully in community with others. Transformed lives happen in part because of the rich experiences WCA students have to interact across multiple age groups. These partnerships definitely have a God-ordained purpose.
Rigorous academics, Biblical worldview integration and solid traditional values permeate the curriculum at the Academy. However, it is the formation of strong relationships at WCA that allows our students to develop what will one day become strong families, strong businesses, strong communities and strong leadership for the future. Our goal is to prepare our young people to engage the culture and to build transformed lives in others. The curriculum is planned so that our teachers prepare students to be leaders in life and in Christian character and to serve others joyously.
