WCA Fine Arts Overview
The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.
-- Johann Sebastian Bach
Studies have shown that learning music boosts children's abilities in math and other areas. At WCA, children may begin learning to play string instruments in second grade.
Williamsburg Christian Academy offers general music instruction in elementary school. String Ensembles are offered for elementary, middle and high school students. Students in all grades have the opportunity to sing in Chorus.
Students in grades 3-12 are invited to try out for a part in the annual spring musical production.
Elementary students receive general art instruction one hour each week. At the middle and high school level art is offered as an elective course. In high school art students may choose from several concentrations as well as Advanced Placement Studio Art.
