WCA has over 70 string musicians in four ensembles. Students can begin learning violin in grade 2.

At the early elementary level, students learn basic music theory and technique through exercises and simple melodies. At the Intermediate level, musicians expand their skills technically and theoretically. Middle and high school musicians broaden their understanding of the various styles of music and techniques used in playing in the various genres.

In the spring, strings students in grades 3-12 participate in the Music In The Parks Festival sponsored by Busch Gardens. All elementary, middle and high school ensembles have won first place honors at the competition. The Elementary String Ensemble received Overall Best Elementary School Orchestra at the 2006 Festival. The Middle School received Best Overall Middle School String Orchestra at the 2008 Festival.

All strings ensembles play for school Chapels, school celebrations, and as a ministry in the community.
