Welcome

Building a transformed life rather than just simply a transcript.

I am Gwen Martin and I have invested most of my career as an educator at Williamsburg Christian Academy. For my family, WCA has been a place of life-enriching partnerships that have continually bridged the age groups from Pre-K through grade twelve. WCA purposely promotes an environment built for divine relationships between people because of the love of Jesus Christ, which is the true agent of transformed lives.

Many WCA students tell us that they love their school because it feels like a strong family. Our educational program encompasses discovering the story that God is writing for each student to live out fully in community with others. Rigorous academics, Biblical worldview integration and solid traditional values permeate the curriculum at the Academy. However, it is also the formation of strong relationships at WCA that allows our students to develop what will one day become strong families, businesses, communities and leadership for the future. Our goal is to prepare our young people to engage the culture with Christian character and to build transformed lives in others.

Many years ago, my teachers at Norfolk Christian High School convinced me that Christian education is the ultimate “whole child” approach that fully integrates the home, school and church. As an undergraduate at the College of William and Mary, I began to apply the principles of leadership and Christian character that were clearly communicated to me in my formative years by my Christian parents, teachers and church leaders. At college graduation, it all made sense to me.

Our primary educational purpose at Williamsburg Christian Academy is to develop in students the spiritual-mindedness and discernment to become all God wants them to become – building transformed lives rather than just simply transcripts. Christian education is a worthy investment in the future!
